C.S劉易斯（Clive Staples Lewis, 1898-1963），英國20世紀著名的文學傢，學者，傑齣的批評傢，也是公認的二十世紀最重要的基督教作者之一。他畢生研究文學、哲學、神學，尤其對中古及文藝復興時期的英國文學造詣尤深，堪稱為英國文學的巨擘。他一直任教於牛津大學和劍橋大學這兩所英國最著名的高等學府。他編著的作品很多，範圍也很廣，既有文學史、文藝評論，也有散文、詩歌集，其中最有名的代錶作當首推七部描寫“納尼亞王國”的係列童話——《獅子·女巫·魔衣櫥》、《凱斯賓王子》、《黎明踏浪號》、《銀椅》、《能言馬與男孩》、《魔術師的外甥》、《最後之戰》。
