Lilly's best friend moved to another city and she's been looking for a new best friend ever since. She thinks new girl Minna is the one-she's smart, pretty, talented and brave-and Lilly does her best to be Minna's pal. So when some of the tough girls at school start to bully little Minna, Lilly's there to warn them off. But Lilly can't always be there to protect her, and in some ways she just makes a bad situation worse. Lilly soon gets a reputation as a "bossy-boots" for making others do what she says. She'll have to think hard about when to be tough, and when to be gentle, if she's going to find a new best friend. Lilly to the Rescue is a story about a girl who learns that no matter how tough you are, there are always times when it's better to be gentle.
