评分想瞭解當今中東亂局的來龍去脈，且隻有時間讀一本書，那必須就是這本瞭。不長的篇幅裏，作者嫻熟地交織敘述瞭中東問題的曆史成因和發展，以及六個背景迥異的人物在這亂世中的經曆。讀這些人物故事，令我感觸最深的是，中東地區的普通人與我們並無本質上不同，伊斯蘭原教旨主義也是大部分人所排斥的；中東地區的大城市如Tripoli, Homs, Damascus, Cairo 也與其它地區的大城市一樣包容多元文化。其次，我個人認為美英法最應當承擔接受難民的責任。一戰後英法在中東地區不閤理地分割、挑撥部族爭鬥埋下禍根在先，後有美國在中東政策上的一再失誤，而上周，又新添一筆曆史將銘記的大錯。最後，建議用最短時間讀完本書，四國六人的故事交織，閱讀間歇太長容易搞混。不過，這樣一本生動易讀的好書，翻開就很難閤上瞭吧。
