先看到中文版的介绍，说是意大利“婚姻故事”，迫不及待找来英文版，越接近尾声，越觉得比“婚姻故事”残忍得多。意大利原版书名直译是shoelace, 因此中文版叫“鞋带”，我觉得英文版译名，意为“打结”，更加贴切。小说篇幅很短，推荐未婚人士看看。另外，这个故事也完美表达了“父母皆祸害”。

家庭成员的内心独白呈现得很好，妻子、丈夫、女儿三个人的第一人称叙述，带出了这一事实：即便共同生活了一辈子也难以懂得对方在想些什么。家庭里微小的秘密，就像花瓶上的裂纹，一点点扩大，无声无息。
