终于赶在第四集更新之前看完了整本，比起成功吊人胃口的开头，结局真的很一般啊，略失望。期待的局外人的身世历史、被曝光的真相统统都没有，但是也给改编留足了空间，剧版拍好了延伸出第二季完全没问题。

一开始当成罪案小说看的不可自拔，King在前半段展现的缜密推理和多视角叙事真的把我唬住了。后半截才隐约看出horror的本质。有一本正经的审讯推理，有诡异怪诞的墨西哥鬼话，有高潮迭起的正邪对抗，也有BillHodges系列的联动，充满IT既视感的志怪小说。

虽然即使略神展开结尾还是草草收场了、老金这一类人叙事扎实是没话说的，整体氛围根梅赛德斯先生同一宇宙也毫无违和感，期待影像化！

三星半。期待悬疑小说的千万不要看。500多页的小说本来三天就可以看完，结果断断续续看了半年。久仰Stephen King大名，没想到这部让我失望了。 最开始案情悬疑的引人入胜，特别是Terry居然在提审时被枪击死了更是吊起了胃口，在期待解密中读着读着读到一半就嗅到有点变味了。我喜欢看悬疑，也喜欢看超自然恐怖，但用超自然恐怖来解释悬疑案就太犯规太倒人胃口，已经不是高开低走能形容的了。最后分明是爱妻人设的男主莫名其妙爱上Holly更是让人白眼翻上天。
