Can't believe it took me so long to discover le Carre. But at this point in life, this is perhaps bad news. The best there is in the genre, it scrapes "every lingering speck of James Bond from our understanding of what spying might entail," and the closest a reader can get to the real thing.

le Carre看到这个作者的时候我就觉得莫名的眼熟，等到教授说到这个的时候突然灵光一现，在教授说出他另个一著作之前激动地叫出了“Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy！！！”虽然有些失态，但是依然很激动，毕竟是我爱的cam5故事，何况里面还有peter可供YY。extra reading assignment for western civilization.
