不太喜欢这本图像小说的画风，不过这本和文字版对比能看出图像小说的一些特点：相同页码图像能体现的情节信息一般更少（但环境和外形等视觉方面的信息更多），改编的时候必须删减得当，否则就会出现这本书这样部分描画显得突兀的现象，情节的跳跃和讲解的缩减可能会导致读者的迷惑或误读；文字可以给外形相似的物体不同的名字以区分开来二者，但图像不行，同一种类的物体如果出现了不止一个，且不加解说又不想让读者混淆的话，外形上一定要有能明显区分出来的点，这本就出现了失误。图像版《贝奥武夫》的异教气息就很明显了。图像在表现打斗等场景时更形象，这同时是一种优势和劣势，能被观看斗殴的不是神灵，太具象感官的东西让史诗的崇高感削弱了，如朗基努斯和伯克等所说，太过清晰的控制感不如朦胧未知的想象能激发崇高感和其他情绪。
