Weaving the plot around not-so-well-known Wikipedia entries might appear to be a clever idea from the outset, but in the end it doesn't do much to change the fact that this book is a chick lit at heart and a failed attempt to enunciate the gravity of history and war. And it's WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too long at that.

Eve的故事還有些意思，想寫女性但這文筆也太生硬，錶現方式也太糟糕瞭，根本就是把口號往臉上甩。Charlie的故事無聊至極，像是披著曆史外衣的狗血青春劇。

這是一本非常女性主義的小說，以兩個女主的綫索貫穿瞭兩次世界大戰，顯然Eve的故事綫更飽滿一些，但overall - 還是情節單調瞭些。

Eve的敘事綫比Charlie的敘事綫更引人入勝。我是用audible看的這本書，Eve綫敘述的時候經常聽著就走神瞭。想想看問題大概就在我覺得Eve的故事太青春疼痛瞭。
