這書其實是值得看的寫得很真誠 Seacole是牙買加Creole 在美洲就是護士抗擊過霍亂黃熱等疫情到英國考察淘金生意能否獲利時突然決定去瞭剋裏米亞戰爭護士團不要有色人種她自己去開瞭傢旅社兼療傷所此迴憶錄主要講在剋裏米亞的經曆 Seacole和南丁格爾互相隱約不太對付客觀上也的確存在聲名競爭此外對膚色種族問題尤其是英美人在種族問題上的細微差異都有所觸及
