This new initiative covers all the traditional general chemistry topics but arranged in a molecular context appropriate for biology, environmental and engineering students. Written by a team of leading industry chemists and educators, Chemistry combines cooperative learning strategies and active learning techniques to create an effective introductory text. The accompanying website http:/ www whfreeman.com/acsgenchem provides student tutorials with interactive exercises, animations and quizzing. Lecturer support is also available online including detailed instructions for each activity with goals, time allocation, materials, questions and expected results.
