這書現在看來有點老調重彈，SKK解構總比神話建構容易，外史也比內史好寫。what：世界圖景機械化；how：數理or實驗；why：權力or宗教；再這麼玩下去應該把社會革命，軍事革命，工業革命，政治革命，農業革命都一並解決瞭，但還是無法迴應韋伯的西方特殊性問題，不要本質之後全都靠contingency嗎？.....加一星比較好的是有個非常好的書單。

An introductory book on a widely acclaimed movement which did not exist. The best book I finished reading this year. Extremely excited to read about the contributions of the historians of early modern science to revolting against the traditional narrative.

"Knowledge is power: the control of knowledge is conceived as an instrument of state power; knowledge has power to produce the means for technological control. The true legacy of Scientific Revolution is the organised collective method. I picked up this book from the part IB HPS reading list. An awakening call for my numb mind.
