畅快淋漓的《垂暮之战》后，骆驼便在第一时间，将目光转向了其续作《幽灵旅》。原本所期望的再一次的流畅感，没想到却不复往昔，磕磕碰碰了好几天才读完。好吧，我并不是说，约翰·斯卡尔齐江郎才尽了，好容易憋出一部不错的《垂暮之战》，然后剩下的都是狗尾续貂。 ...

有种太空大战的背景下的刀枪肉搏的感觉，涉及好多不同的互相敌对的智慧种族，不过都只描绘了一些局部战斗，感觉比较适合较低的成本拍成电影。比较喜欢里面的世界观设定里关于 consciousness 的部分，虽然感觉作者对于“program”和“data”的理解是不是有点颠倒过来。故事对克隆人与原来的人之间的关系也做了探讨。多人共享感官和深度意识交流的“集成”状态感觉很好玩。世界观中其它外星人的社会形态也花了心思。至于小说内容本身，剧情有些平铺直叙，紧张起伏相对较小，人物性格刻画也没有特别生动，关于女主甚至还有好多地方讲得不清不楚，不过遗漏的细节和没有交代的伏笔也许是因为这是系列书（《老人战争》系列）中的一本的缘故？
