Orson Scott Card is the author of the novels Ender's Game, Ender's Shadow, and Speaker for the Dead, which are widely read by adults and younger readers, and are increasingly used in schools.
Besides these and other science fiction novels, Card writes contemporary fantasy (Magic Street, Enchantment, Lost Boys), biblical novels (Stone Tables, Rachel and Leah), the American frontier fantasy series The Tales of Alvin Maker (beginning with Seventh Son), poetry (An Open Book), and many plays and scripts.
Card was born in Washington and grew up in California, Arizona, and Utah. He served a mission for the LDS Church in Brazil in the early 1970s. Besides his writing, he teaches occasional classes and workshops and directs plays. He recently began a longterm position as a professor of writing and literature at Southern Virginia University.
Card currently lives in Greensboro, North Carolina, with his wife, Kristine Allen Card, and their youngest child, Zina Margaret.

年初一病中重读。宗教意味浓重，悲伤，美丽。安德是不折不扣的圣人。
评分这本比第一本好看多了，正如作者自己所说，第一本只是一个引子，但是作者自己也很无奈的是，大红的正是第一本。科幻其实都是哲学。不过这部电影恐怕是等不来了。我只好愤愤的去看了marvel的漫画。
评分比第一本难。三千年后，遥远的星球，新的智慧生命，虫族在复苏，安德有了新朋友——强大的简，也终于有了爱人，还有很多干儿子干女儿，人猪神圣同盟缔结，部分问题解决了，更多的问题仍待解决，安德姐姐正在飞来途中。。。宏大的安德宇宙徐徐拉开序幕。
评分《安德的游戏》更像是给孩子写的科幻，而这本小说才是给大人写的科幻
评分人类社会的殖民，征服与被征服的关系和恐惧，异族之间如何能更宽容的接受彼此和共生，人类自身的救赎与重生。这一部的深度远远超过了Ender's Game。
