Markings on the Windowsill is a brief book to help persons who are grieving understand that there is some process to grief, though it may be different for every individual who experiences it, and to help the mourner along on the journey, through pain to hopeful fulfillment. Many years ago, author Ron Greer and his wife lost their two-year-old son Eric in a tragic automobile accident. In this book, the author draws on his experiences as a pastoral counselor and as a father to offer help, hope, and healing to people who are grieving. In the author's words, "For those who are grieving, grief permeates most of their waking moments and all of their lives. The power of that emotion needs to be honored by fully experiencing it and giving it a voice. This is a new and frightening experience for most. I seek to walk with them along that journey, as one who knows that kind of pain, as one who has been there and knows of the experience. This book is a Christian message about the hope that can be known at the far side of that journey."
