This group of tombs was cleared by the Egyptian Antiquities Organisation in the early 1980s, but, with the exception of the tomb of Shepsipuptah which appeared although briefly in earlier publications, remained totally unpublished. The tombs provide interesting information on Teti's reign, with Shepsipuptah being married to the king's daughter, Mereri's tomb being reused by a woman called Merinebti and Hefi's tomb showing all the architectural and artistic features characteristic of the very beginning of the reign. All the tombs contained the skeletal remains of their owners.
