In 1942, the 82nd infantry Division at Camp Claiborne, Louisiana, was split in two. One of the new divisions began intense preparation and training for a surprise landing on Nazi-occupied Europe, at Normandy. The division selected became the 101st Airborne, the now-legendary "Band of Brothers". This book covers the divisions heroic performance on D-Day and follows them right up to the Allied victory in Europe.
