這個情節實在是..過於牽強，衍生的那個“誰是敗者”的問題確實很有意思。Haywood大概是在提供models給女性，雖然有鼓勵女性的libertinism，其實還是在討論愛，愛，愛，說來說去都是愛和愛的復雜。Pleasure with Sorrow, Peace with War allay’d, Liberty fetter’d, Hope by Fear dismay’d, Imbitter’d Honey, Earnest mix’d with Play, Are, Love! the Emblems of thy sov’reign Sway.

太酷瞭，wiles of women！這位姐姐活在現代就是渣女代言人。求不得，嗔癡貪念，諷刺的很。

"to cloath Instruction with Delight"算個啥，"urere ac secare"纔對嘛！何況非蠢即壞的異性戀一點兒也不delightful... 編輯們怕不是覺得本書讀者都是幼兒園小朋友，連"want", "shew", "ardent"這樣的詞也要解釋。。。
