He has written fantasy, horror, and science fiction, and for his sins spent ten years in Hollywood as a writer/producer, working on Twilight Zone, Beauty and the Beast, and various feature films and television pilots that were never made. In the mid 90s he returned to prose, his first love, and began work on his epic fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire. He has been in the Seven Kingdoms ever since. Whenever he's allowed to leave, he returns to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he lives with the lovely Parris, a big white dog called Mischa, and two cats named Augustus and Caligula who think they run the place.

电视剧真的改太多了
评分想躲避悲剧的天性，导致这本书拖拖拉拉看不完。狼家族没落但星火仍存，Renly和Stannis猝不及防的陨落，龙女依旧迷迷糊糊游走在遥远的Free City.只有Imp.是绝对的主角，即便有严苛的父亲、白痴的姐姐和侄子，还是在君临城一役取得了最终之胜利。他温情，但聪明且心狠手辣，看到最后他出城迎敌之时刻简直光芒万丈。这本是历史之舞台，没有主角或正义，只有胜者为王。
评分马丁大叔的功力见长，情节扣人心弦。
评分终于利用火车时间看完了后半本 whew
评分不喜欢北方的lady，不喜欢telon，还是twenty thousands就可以称霸，呵呵，真好看
