Can u imagine a novel where the precept that Frank must marry money is articulated by different mouths for more than 40 times? Such is Trollope's Doctor Thorne. Fortunately, when we reach the end of this novel "the demon of pecuniary embarrassment has lifted his black wings from the demesne of Greshamsbury" 情节确实蛮好猜，关于维多利亚时期的阶级，婚姻，政治（选举，改革法案）等都值得研究
评分Trollope絮絮叨叨，一句Frank, you must marry money说了不下十遍。情节还是比较好预测的，不像George Eliot或者狄更斯那样搞出其不意。
