最喜欢《瓶中手稿》《丽姬娅》《泄密的心》《黑猫》和《过早埋葬》，感觉爱伦·坡的对话写得没有独白好，整体风格比较暗沉黑暗，读起来让我无比震惊，总算知道为什么爱伦·坡如此享有盛誉。
评分每一篇都继承用繁琐引言来塑造人格的坡式前奏，大段晦涩难解实际纯粹是叙理性文字看得人很不耐，就算是短篇也颇有慢热之嫌。配图比文章内容惊悚，不过难得坡的五篇推理小说都被收录在内，值得沉迷哥特、暗黑、讽喻风格的人一购。
评分很久没有看到这么好看的书了
评分借标《故事集》（纽约：威利及帕特南出版社，1845），收小说12篇。 除《捧为名流》《厄舍府的倒塌》《埃洛斯与沙米思的对话》已收入《怪异故事集》，其余9篇为：《金甲虫》《黑猫》《催眠启示录》《莫斯肯漩涡沉浮记》《莫诺斯与尤拉的对话》《莫格街谋杀案》《玛丽·罗热疑案》《被窃之信》《人群中的人》。 爱伦·坡的小说选本虽多，但没看到按照原版的两个短篇集收录的版本。三联的《爱·伦坡集》虽好，但实在太贵。
评分语言上有些地方翻译略显生涩，但总的来说翻译的很好
