What struck me the most is a sense of futility in life, the meaningless circles gaining a feeling of importance because of the overlapped tracks. Books, violence, beauty, ugliness, politics, hypocrisy, success, failure - everything is of dissolving boundaries. The people will be gone, and the time moves on.

陆陆续续历经半年时间把这套书读完了。欣赏Lila的天赋和洒脱，同情她失去Tina之后深重的悲伤！佩服Elena的执着和韧性！不过，却始终不认同Elena为了Nino居然可以接受情妇的身份，还生活了那么久！Nino始终就是一个满嘴谎言的男人，光纤的外表和学识只是他的伪装，正如后文所提，生为政客是对这个角色的完美诠释！

1/4 HBO基本还原 Nino对文学的那段评论大意是我们对堂吉诃德表示尊重但是我们不缺大战风车的勇气而缺少制造风车的知识 4/4 看完只有一种我tm终于看完的感觉没那么好但是很多文学政治女性主义资本共产二战国家历史学术科技当然也有爱情青春婚姻孩子工作家庭揉在一起 / 意义一定要依附于叙事吗依附于来往之间的因果关系？/ Lenu将意义放在与Lila的竞争上一直到最后还是restless可以联想到Poter写的关于grandma的短篇 / Lenu很骄傲地算是完成了从灰色肮脏小城和阶级pleb的逃离可是对她一点也喜欢不起来 / 最后我们都意识到这是一张巨大的网逃出来又回去找到又再次失去 / 天赋被浪费可是也就像地震时Lila被吓坏了说nothing lasts 边界消失的恐惧

Elena Ferrante is the author of The Days of Abandonment (Europa, 2005), Troubling Love (Europa, 2006), The Lost Daughter (Europa, 2008) and the Neapolitan Quartet (Europa 2012-2015). She is also the author of a children’s picture book illustrated by Mara Cerri, The Beach at Night.

Ann Goldstein has translated into English all of Elena Ferrante's books, including the New York Times bestseller, The Story of the Lost Child, which was shortlisted for the MAN Booker International Prize. She has been honored with a Guggenheim Fellowship and is the recipient of the PEN Renato Poggioli Translation Award. She lives in New York.
