J.M.W. Turner is one of the greatest artists the world has ever known, his output prolific and extraordinarily varied. Focusing on 125 paintings in the Tate collection, this lavishly illustrated book provides a fresh and lively survey.
The Tate owns the largest collection of J.M.W. Turner's work, its Clore Gallery houses the Turner Bequest - the paintings, watercolours, drawings, sketchbooks acquired from the artist's estate in 1856.
