It really took me a long time to finish this book.... mainly because time schedule...and also the story isn’t the most attractive one. But can’t deny, the writer is a good player of words. Her sentences are elegant and beautiful.

最有触动的一句,是Maggie说的:"O God O God is there any happiness in love that could make me forget their pain?" 唉...  

今天和祝庆英本对读了一下开头和结尾。总的感觉是两个本子的译者不知是谁参考了谁，很多地方挺像，但是感觉伍厚恺更好一些，这个印象还是挺鲜明的。艾略特这样真正好的作家，关注太少了（我幼儿时期只知道她是职工马南，还曾错误的把她归为穿破裤子的慈善家那样的作家呢！后来...

工作了就是不行，一本长篇也能看上将近半年，估计换在大学，导师早就变成“叫兽”了～ 目前终于看完，所以简短盘点一下此书的长短，供后来读者参阅： 1、GeorgeEliot在大学的时候，只是略微带过，其实这是一个大遗憾。为什么？因为她的文笔实在很适合需要修炼自己英文写作的...
