打四顆星是因為裏麵不少橋段都是爵士在之前的短篇裏用過的，創意有限，畢竟爵士也不是犯罪小說專職。在認識瞭福爾摩斯先生和華生醫生這麼多年之後，他們的情緒和邏輯已經成為腦海中熟稔的片段，在貝剋街的壁爐前，永遠有兩把搖椅，被酸腐蝕的試管架，波斯拖鞋裏的煙草，和親愛的福爾摩斯先生對華生醫生的喋喋不休。

不怪BBC，原著就是這樣深情款款，the dying detective真的不是爵士寫的同人嗎。這本寫於一戰時期，看終篇His last bow裏的暮年福爾摩斯，總想起2015年Ian老爺爺演的《福爾摩斯先生》，老福養蜂的日子一定是悠閑自得的，走下神壇、孤獨淒涼都是我們凡人臆想的，嗯。
