(A Pair of Blue Eyes 1873年的為什麼那個故事里還說結婚需要什麼certificate到這就教堂里自己寫名字了不是說marriage license還分地點的嗎那他豈不是必然會被認出 (TIL The Scottish Verdict-Not Proven. 明明是Victorian novel, 感覺Valeria一會極其現代一會又極"舊" 也可能是在bbc lady detective專題下有些額外的期待. 結尾無法讓人接受. 可能有些上了年紀的書就不用再看了./"Think of your own frailties, and have some mercy on mine."
