Louise Penny (born 1958)is a Canadian author of mystery novels.
Penny was born in Toronto.For many years she was a journalist and radio host for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.She currently lives in a village south of Montreal with her husband Michael.
Her 2006 novel, Still Life, was the first in a series featuring Chief Inspector Armand Gamache. The book was the winner of the "New Blood" Dagger award in the United Kingdom, the Arthur Ellis Award in Canada for best first crime novel and the Dilys Award. The second book in the series, A Fatal Grace, was the winner of the Agatha Award for best novel of 2007.The Cruelest Month, Penny's third mystery featuring Inspector Gamache, was published in 2008.

评分拿奬拿到手軟的Armand Gamache係列第一作，本身好像也拿瞭幾個新人奬，讀完卻非常令人失望。故事的主綫已經不那麼抓人，新人女警等支綫更是分分鍾齣戲，有些片段隻能用莫名其妙來形容。
