很幸运的看到了这本书的电子版，虽然同为Louisa May Alcott的传记，而且这一本还拿到了普利策奖，但是整体感觉写的不如同样是2008年出版的另一本传记，Harriet Reisen 的“the woman behind little woman“。男作者写女作家传记，特别是Louisa这种出身在特殊家庭的总是欠点火候，这本书颇有点替Louisa那个空想家父亲洗白的节奏，当然中间有不少桥段写的还是不错，以及作者本人其实也会在Louisa的Facebook小组里常常露面
