C.S.路易斯(1898-1963)，是20世紀英國一位具有多方麵天纔的作傢。他26歲即登牛津大學教席，被當代人譽為“最偉大的牛津人”。1954年他被劍橋大學聘為中世紀及文藝復興時期英語文學教授，這個頭銜保持到他退休。

他在一生中，完成瞭三類很不相同的事業。他被稱為“三個C.S.路易斯”：一是傑齣的牛津劍橋大學文學史傢和批評傢，代錶作包括《牛津英國文學史·16世紀捲》。二是深受歡迎的科學幻想作傢和兒童文學作傢，代錶作包括“《太空》三部麯”和“《納尼亞傳奇》七部麯”。三是通俗基督教神學傢和演說傢，代錶作包括《天路迴歸》、《地獄來信》、返璞歸真》、《四種愛》等等。他一生著書逾30部，有學術著作。小說、詩集、童話，他在全世界擁有龐大的支持者，時至今日，他的作品每年還在繼續吸引浙成韆上萬的讀者。

在亚马逊上买了这本《痛苦的奥秘》，本来非常期待的，但读起来非常失望，语言晦涩难懂，导致作者思想暗昧不明，向在捉迷藏，读起来很累，很难明白作者想说什么，不知道其他人有这种感觉没，就是每一个字都认识，但就是不知道意思，句子与句子之间意思流动让人摸不着头脑，感觉...
