From School Library Journal Grade 4-6-- Another of Cohen's efforts to cover new material in the ghost/phantom arena. He uses popular folklore and researched accounts of train and highway accidents; apparitions appearing along tracks and roads; and strange encounters in abandoned buildings and other sites. The information is accurate, and locations are authentic. Unfortunately, the book lacks the excitement of some of the author's earlier work in this genre. Several of the selections appeared in Phantom Animals (Putnam, 1991). While the stories themselves are adequate, the presentation is lackluster. --Molly Kinney, formerly at Miami Dade Public Library System, Miami, FLCopyright 1991 Reed Business Information, Inc. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title."
