读了几遍中文版想读英文版

桑塔格在对比“工业社会”与“非工业社会”的时候，不免有些东方主义吧。同样的简化也存在于她对中国的讨论中。很明显，她是通过一种既定的过滤系统来看非西方世界的。很好奇这本1977年出版的书于海德格尔1977年发表的World Picture的文章之间的关系。个人认为本书中的观点不是很新。基本没有离开巴赞1960年那篇the ontology of photographic image的影子。萨义德的东方主义1978年出版，时间差是桑塔格唯一的脱罪证明。

Melancholy Objects和Image-World两章很有趣放今天有些观点显然也是如过去的摄影图集一般有时间痕迹（不过引入digitalization后或许摄影于现实的存在并没有什么本质变化？只是拥有了更强劲的复制与消费速率？）总之Sontag的思辨和角度依然是非常启发的

巴特那本是优美的个人体验谈，似乎也是继承法国essay写作的传统，苏珊桑塔格这本更丰富，除了敏锐精确的现象定位，捕捉与描摹，还进行视域更广的大众文化分析。最有趣的是，巴特好恶鲜明而又不加掩饰地掷出自己的观点，而苏珊桑塔格通篇采取了正说说反说说的写法。
