你會得到大驚喜!!

Since wisdom may be defined as the proper use of knowledge, the

two actually are separate but inseparable. To be wise, there are cer-

tain things you must know. Spiritually, a knowledge of the word of

God is the basis for our knowing him and being acceptable in his

sight.

As usual, I am encouraging you to study the Bible, not just about

the Bible. Therefore, I continue to quote passages from the scrip-

tures to facilitate our studying them together. Obviously it has been

impossible to use every scripture pertaining to each subject; so I en-

courage you to use your own Bible helps to delve more deeply into

the truth. It will surprise you how your own interest will grow as you

make a sincere effort to deepen your knowledge and understanding.

I have listed daily Bible readings at the end of each chapter. They

will encourage your studying these lessons daily in case you are

preparing for a weekly class. Meditation in this way, from day to

day, will enli ~en and enrich your life. And please do study the

memory verses daily; make them your own; have them readily

available in the wonderful "computer" of your mind. They are good

mental companions when you are having to sit and wait, when you

can t sleep at night, even in the dentist s chair! To help you in

memorizing, write each passage on an index card which you can

stand in a convenient place so that your mind may be occupied with

study while your hands are busy at routine work. You can

memorize. You will be glad you did.

"If then you are risen with Christ, seek those things which are

above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God," a lovely

silver haired octogenarian quoted happily as I met her in the aisle

when she visited the local congregation recently following a year s

residence in the home of her daughter. After completing her quota-

tion of Colossians 3:1-4, she concluded, Tll never be able to thank
