A Canadian bush pilot flying for Starrat~ Airways in the 1930s taxis
his ski-equipped Norseman Mark IV across a frozen lake in west-
ern Ontario toward three trappers anxiously awaiting the fresh
supplies he has brought. The Norseman became world-famous in
its role as a rugged bush aircraft. This scene was painted by famed
aviation artist Frank Wootton especially for The Bush Pilots.
