From Library Journal Mitral valve prolapse syndrome (MVP) is a slight malfunction of the heart, sometimes accompanied by minor imbalance in the autonomic nervous system. While fairly common, symptoms associated with MVP occur in less than half of those afflicted. They can include chest pain, fatigue, irregular heart rate, numbness of hands and feet, anxiety, and depression. Because it is difficult to diagnose, patients are often medically mistreated and neglected. Explained here is the condition, and outlined is a treatment regimen. Certainly this book is helpful, but, because of the similarity in symptoms to other afflictions, it's wise to have a physician's guidance. For large health collections.
