In tic BASIC Paint， the authors use the program as the<br >basis for a self-teaching， step-by-step approach to BASIC and its computer<br >graphics applications. This approach provides a foundation for understand-<br >ing other languages and computer graphics systems.<br > The minimum system needed for the MC Painting program includes<br >either an Apple~ lI + (48K)， an Apple IIe， or an Apple IIc computer; one disk<br >drive; a color television and modulator or a color video monitor; and a high-<br >qualib， joystick or paddles. We recommend that you also have a small printer.<br > Most of the book applies to each of the three Apples. We will discuss any<br >differences among them that could affect the topics we treat.<br > Chapter 1 introduces you to tile Apple-based MC Painting system and<br >explains how it facilitates learning about BASIC and computer graphics.<br > Chapters 2， 3， and 4 first tell you how to get started in the immediate mode，<br >which allows you to see immediately the Apples s response to what you type<br >on :the keyboard.
