To<br >facilitate the teaching of these concepts， a Behavioral<br >Medieine course has been initiated at tlarvard Medical<br >School. A 1)ivision of Behavioral Medicine Section has<br >heen formed at Boston s Beth Israel Itospital to continue<br >collaborative research in this area and to apply these prin-<br >ciples to the care of patients. One of the major tenets of the<br >teaching and practice of Behavioral Medicine is that<br >individuals nmst assume more responsibili~ for their<br >own health care.
