This book is about learning to ski--in the most
straight-forward, efficient way possible. It's a
no-nonsense, nuts-and-bolts ski lesson. As it begins,
The Way To Ski/assumes you know nothing about
the sport. It takes non-skiers by the hand, and leads
them, step by step, along a learning path toward
expertise.
It's a picture book. You will see hundreds of
photos, arranged in sequences to let you trace,
understand, and feel what's happening at each level.
We have kept the text as "short and sweet" as
possible, eliminating, wherever we could, all ~~
high-tech jargon and complex theory. Most of what
you read relates directly to the photos.
The photos are accompanied by short remarks,
which appear in capital letters. These are the friendly
directions a ski instructor might offer as you perform
the lessons.
Please don't be misled by our book's apparent
simplicity. The progression of skiing concepts we
offer is based on millions of instructor-hours of
practical experience
