In this book Mrs. Williams shows her great
understanding of the field of nutrition. She
demonstrates strongly the concept that all of
us--the nurse, the nutritionist, and the physi-
cian, that is, all who are associated with the
care of our lellow human beings--work as a
team. In this concept, care of the patient is the
primary objective of all members of the team.
Mrs. Williams stresses the role, obligations,
and importance of the nutritionist and the nurse
in this total picture. She emphasizes the fact
that change in environment, affected by the sci-
entific advances of our times, must he accepted
and that "health is a relative concept in any
culture."
Mrs. Williams has conscientiously laid out
her philosophy relating to nutrition and has
masterfully organized her buok m focus on the
needs of the patient and the health professional.
It is also apparent that this book is of value to
others in the health sciences and is worthy of
the author s effort.
