刻畫的最成功的依次是：麥剋白、Macduff、麥剋白夫人，倒是最後的勝者Malculm並沒有一代明君的厚重感。麥夫人筆墨很少，莎士比亞卻把有野心的女人刻畫地入木三分。麥剋白性格中毀滅的力量是由老婆催化齣來的。反派的刻畫總是那麼成功，麥剋白的悲劇是個人自我膨脹一步步淪為自我毀滅。相當真實，人人即麥剋白，一步步走嚮自我毀滅，步入深淵，縱身一躍，毫不迴頭。
