Developed from the collaboration between the authors of the "Aula" series which also bore "Aula Internacional" (see separate entry) and a team of Mexican authors "Aula Latina" seeks to meet the specific needs of those students who wish to learn Spanish of a Mexican or Central American persuasion.

A modular course in four levels with a task-based approach, "Aula Latina" is a compact resource with the student's book containing the equivalent of the exercise book, a grammatical resume, additional readings and the audio CD. Each module contains 10 units, providing an effective approach to learning vocabulary and grammar with communicative tasks, cultural activities, with particular attention paid to the Latin American community as a whole, and exercises based on the fundamental areas of Spanish usage.
