There was no light, but that was definitely a scuba
suit. Donnie could make out the tanks and belt as he
got closer. But the rubber suit fluttered loose, like a
black leaf waving in the murky tossing water near the
bottom. He grabbed a lip of the rock wall with one
hand to steady himself: with the other hand. he eased
his lamp forward to turn the hood of the scuba suit.
He blinked, wasn t sure if he d seen right. He jerked
his right hand back and fixed the light on the suit.
The hood stayed turned toward him. Inside. covered
with a light patina of brownish slime, was the pale
staring face of a skull.
