This book to be published in the series "Lecture Notes in Earth Sciences" concentrates on own results (mainly Levitan et al.) and literature data from more detailed multidisciplinary case studies from Arctic Ocean and Subarctic seas (Norwegian-Greenland Sea, Sea of Okhotsk, Bering Sea), not discussed in the other books. Another major difference is the discussion of geological-paleoecological aspects and land-ocean interaction, not included in the other books.
