Taking the three-circle model of task, team and individual as a basis for leadership thinking, this text considers what happens to this model when the individual circle is occupied by those who have a significant creative input. Using diagrams which enable self-assessment, and key profiles of such "creators" as a Nobel Prize winner, a project leader in BT and a director of a BBC TV series, the reader is taken through the following stages: managing creativity as something different; identifying the task and choosing the right leader; nurturing creativity in individuals and groups; protecting your team; and developing abilities as a manager.
