Bill Wood Jr. ran the Bill Wood Photo Co. in downtown Fort Worth, Texas from 1937 until 1970. The photographs he made of everyday middle-class life served his community's need for images and, taken together, reveal an intimate cross-section of a mid-twentieth-century American city hitting its stride.
