Chan Yan Chong

Chan Yan Chong was born and raised in Singapore . He graduated from the Mathematics faculty of Nanyang University . Subsequently, he obtained a Masters Degree in Operational Research at University of Lancaster , England , and a Doctorate in Management Sciences at University of Manchester , England .

Currently, he is MBA Programme Director, Associate Professor of Management Science s and leader of Centa-City Index (CCI) research group at the City University of Hong Kong.

Dr Chan was commissioned by the State Council of China to provide consultancy to the Minister responsible for the country's pension plan. He is also advisor to many enterprises and organisations. In 2001, he was winner of the best business applied research award from City University of Hong Kong.

A feature-column writer for many newspapers and magazines in Hong Kong and Singapore , he has published 1 5 books and more than 3,000 articles and thesis papers. He is regularly interviewed by television and radio networks, newspapers and research seminars from China , the United States , Singapore , Hong Kong and China for his views on topics related to politics, economics, investment and management.
