10gitimate topic but the way AB goes at it sets my teeth
On edge, He makes me feel like the 98-1b. weakling
instructions from Charles Atlas on how to
build up my biceps.
He starts off by asking if I have had any sex. If I say
yes, he wants to know how often and how it was. If the
answer is no, he asks if I ve been masturbating. I ve
told him and told him that I don t masturbate but he
doesn t believe me and always acts as if this time he
wall catch me with my metaphorical pants down and
get the truth.
Today, when I said J. and I hadn t had intere, in the
past week (because I had avoided it), AB gave me a
long pep talk on the male ego and sex drives and told
me I must make more of an effort to be receptive and
to satisfy my husband. He said I should read "sugges-
live" books before bed and said he had had good
reports of a paperback called "My Secret Life."
I dutifully wrote down the title but I thought how
Ass-Bird-Backwards this "therapeutic" reading is. I ve
read sex manuals, some suggested by AB, but they
don t do any good. And why should anybody think
they would? It s what goes on between two people
before they go to bed that determines how good or bad
the sex will be.
As I put the slip of paper in my purse, I suddenly
had a vision of AB s other patients with their little slips
of paper all turning up in droves at the bookstore, all
