Ken Woolley graduated in 1955 from the University of Sydney with First Class Honours in architecture and the University Medal. A founding member of the special design team in Harry Rembert's office of the new Government Architect' Branch, he became involved in major projects such as Fisher Library (which received the Sulman Award) and the State Office Block. In 1962, Woolley's home at Mosman won the Wilkinson Award. He went into the partnership of Aachen Mortlock Murray & Woolley, a firm which has since received ever major architectural award.
