Private investigator Ellen Kerry has been looking forward to a relaxing vacation planned by her husband, Sean, a homicide detective. But Sean seems preoccupied, and the longer they stay in Tucson, the more Ellen suspects he isn't telling her the true reason for their visit. Soon Ellen finds herself embroiled in a twelve-year-old case involving the murder of Sean's father. To complicate matters, she has discovered evidence that the thieves responsible for a huge jewelry heist at Tucson's Gem and Mineral Show are the same ones who slipped through her fingers just a few years ago.
