The Earth is attacked. We are not able to defend ourselves, but we survivea]barely. The attack, however, changes our world forever. A new government is formed. New policies are created and strictly enforced. Incredibly, technology advances exponentially during this time as we hurry to rebuild our shattered home. While most people welcome the new technology, others are hesitant to accept all of the changes. A police officer named PO-309 lives in this new world but does not necessarily belong in it. A once promising young officer on the fast track to success within the police force, PO-309 now feels left behind as the world rapidly changes around him. Recently, his frustration has manifested itself in uncharacteristic explosions of anger. While investigating an assassination, PO-309 learns information that could shatter everything he believes in and everything he takes for granted. That is, if it is true. Now PO-309 must piece together the facts while keeping his anger under control. He started out looking for a criminal, but what he finds will not only change the Earthas future, but also its history.
