Maude Baylor, a dedicated Sunday school teacher in the small town of Marshall, Illinois, is living a peaceful existence. She is a retired Army sniper from the Vietnam era, and that is where Maudeas lifestyle takes a sharp turn Thanks to her thorough training in the Army, she is somewhat successful as a hired assassin. As her cache of money grows, so do her problems. An attempt to expand her profits by hiring a new recruit goes sour, and Maude finds herself constantly dodging the authorities.
