Aaron Gilbert Fowler wanted his ma to be happy, so he resigned himself to her marriage to the Reverend Massey. Unfortunately, the reverend's bratty daughter, Serenity, was part of the package. But these were the least of Aaron worries. Times were hard and he didn't know how they were going to make the mortgage payments on the farm. They could lose the land that his pa had loved so much.
